{THE MELTING POT: a night in paradise}

Last night we went to The Melting Pot for dinner. It was heavenly! Words cannot even describe how delicious and delightful the fondue was. What could be better than Sparkling Peach Spumante, Wisconsin Trio Cheese Fondue {Fontina, Butterkäse and Buttermilk Bleu cheeses with white wine, scallions, and a hint of sherry}, a delightful Spinach Mushroom Salad {Fresh spinach, baby Portobello mushrooms, red onion, chopped bacon and Roma tomatoes with a warm Burgundy Shallot Vinaigrette}, and best of all Flaming Turtle {Milk chocolate, caramel and chopped pecans, flambéed tableside}? Rather than continue to describe this wonderful meal spent with fabulous roommates, I will let you see some snapshots of this fabulous moment in time. Soon you will be wishing you could taste the delectable food yourself...

Wonderful Life!

Pretty much I love life! I came home on Tuesday to find that Natalie had straightened my room and left a flower on my desk. I love roommates. Everyday I realize how blessed I am to be living with Natalie, Breezy and Sharolee. They are all so beautiful and talented and kind and loving and the list goes on and on. Really I can't even imagine how I would make it through life without them. I love that we talk about everything that we do in a given day, regardless of how stupid or silly it may be. Gotta love those days :). So thanks to my wonderful roommates and all my great friends for making my life so much better!

Photos Galore

I started creating a post of mostly photos awhile ago. I didn't realize that it would show up after the most recent ones, however, it did. So, any of you who have already seen the chalk and paint blogs, look just a little bit further for my life in photos. I feel like it captures at least the last two years of my life very well. It is also a great collection of some of my favorite photos. I had no idea it would be hard to limit myself to only 72 photos, but it was. I probably missed some that I love too, but at least you will get a sense of my life and my passions.

99¢ Delight: an Afternoon of Urban Art

We bought some chalk so that Sharolee and Natalie could ask some guys to our ward dance. It turned into quite an adventure. Who knew that 99¢ and a little bit of artistic genius could create such a delightful distraction from the dullness of studying. We spent a good two hours creating works of art on sidewalks and around our door. I have this new love for urban photography. So, as we created these colorful works of art I decided to try and take some creative photos and this is what I came up with…

Artistic Musings

What is it about painting and really just art in general that is so refreshing. After creating a work of art I feel so uplifted and cultured. I also feel like I can express myself and let all of my feelings come out. It is wonderful! This weekend was full of artistic adventures. On Saturday Natalie and I made a large mural and then on Monday (since we didn't have school) we did chalk art. It was so much fun. I think we will have to have artistic weekends more often!
