Stop Motion

For one of my final projects I was assigned a random song to which I was to make a stop motion video. I asked Rosie if she would be my model. After 2.5 hours of photographing and several hours editing and figuring out software... I ended up with 1103 images in 3 min and 40 sec of stop motion video. Here it is!

Strawberry Short Cake

My little brother loves strawberry short cake and since his birthday was on Saturday I decided to try a new recipe. I also needed a beautiful photograph to send to someone random for one of my classes. The cake turned out great considering it was my first layered cake. Connor loved it too, so I'm pretty pleased with myself!

The Latest Projects

Here are a couple projects I've been working on lately. The first is a magazine spread that I mimicked from Real Simple. I did the photos and styling but did not invent the recipes :). The second image is a composite I'm working on for my digital imaging class. Concept.... weight loss... eating healthy (something I'm not good at).






I haven't spent enough time on the shadows so those will be changing quite a bit. I feel like the top half looks pretty convincing though!

Chocolate before 10:00 AM

This morning my first class was canceled which meant I would be getting up with Kevin at 7:00 but I wouldn't be leaving until 9:30. So I decided to put my time to good use. I made the first half of a chocolate dish that will soon be pictured here. I'm making a series of chocolate desserts for one of my projects and turning them into a Real Simple article. This is some homemade hot chocolate I made as one of the desserts.

Omelet and Cookies

This is the edited version of the previous omelet image. I was trying to match the image on the recipe (you can click the link on the previous post to see the image). My lighting is very different but I feel like I got the coloring about right which was my goal.



These are for a "text" assignment we did in my Advanced Photography Class. I'm not in love with the actual text but I think the idea works pretty well.

Cupcakes, Omelets, and Soup

I've been making new things for dinner lately (I'm actually making dinner, which seemed to never happen last semester). So here are some of the things I've tried. I've managed to set the smoke detector off twice in the past week. Ironically we just had to replace a battery in one upstairs. Now we know for sure that the rest are working properly! Mexican Potato Omelet (Side Note: for my digital imaging class my first assignment is to recreate a photograph as much as possible... this is the image I am going to use. I didn't have blue fabric so I'm going to see if I can change that in photoshop. I'll let you know how it goes)

Chocolate Chip Cookies

Last night at 11:00 I was craving cookies. We have so much ice cream I felt guilty... but I found a new recipe so I made these wonderful chocolate chip cookies (minus the pecans)! So today I decided I would continue figuring out my new lighting kit and do a shoot. Here are the results:
